Stipe overall shape: tapering upwards (clavate)
images/Stipe_overall_shape_tapering_upwards_(clavate)/Stipe_overall_shape_-_clavate.jpg
Record this feature on mature fruit-bodies. The immature stipe is often much broader at the base than at the apex. Record this feature separately to the Stipe base shape.

Choose this state if: the stipe tapers upwards and it is noticeably smaller at the apex than at the base. The diameter at the base is usually more than twice that at the apex. The widest point is near the base. The shape is clavate (club-shaped).
