Pileus concentric zonation: present
images/Pileus_concentric_zonation_present/Pileus_concentric_zonation_-_present.jpg
This feature refers to zones that are visible when the pileus is viewed from above.

Choose this state if: there are concentric zones of contrasting colour or texture (different length of hairs) on the pileus surface. Rows of scales on the surface are not classed as concentric zonation of the surface.

Sometimes when the pileus is hygrophanous (changing colour on drying), one or two zones can appear while the pileus is drying. Do not count this as concentric zonation present.
