Partial veil when young: membranous
images/Partial_veil_when_young_membranous/Partial_veil_when_young_-_membranous.jpg
The partial veil, when present, connects the edge of the pileus to the stipe. The veil is intact when young, and breaks as the pileus expands on maturity. Observe this feature on immature specimens, but not on primordia (where the stipe has not begun to elongate).

If the fruit-bodies are mature and the veil has broken see partial veil remains.

Choose this state if: the partial veil is membranous.

When a membranous partial veil breaks as the pileus expands with maturity, it usually leaves an annulus on the stipe, and sometimes also an appendiculate pileus margin.
