Lamellae spacing: close to subdistant
images/Lamellae_spacing_close_to_subdistant/Lamellae_spacing_-_close.jpg
Observe lamellae spacing by turning the fruit-body over and looking at the lamellae edge-on.

Choose this state if: the lamellae (and any lamellulae) are close together, but are neither crowded nor distant. The space between adjacent lamellae (or lamellulae) is several times broader than the thickness of the lamellae themselves. Several sheets of thick paper (or a thick piece of card or two) will easily fit between adjacent lamellae (or lamellulae).
