Growth habit: connate

Growth habit refers to a combination of the density of fruit-bodies and whether they are single or in tight clusters.

Choose this state if: fruit-bodies are caespitose (growing in clusters) and, in addition, the bases of adjacent stipes are fused so that in cross section, a number of fruit-bodies arise from a common mass of tissue at the base.
