Clamp connections: present
images/Clamp_connections_present/Clamp_connections-present.jpg
Clamp connections are special structures formed at the septa of many Basidiomycota. They are involved in the passage of nuclei from one hyphal compartment to another during nuclear division.

Clamp connections are generally found throughout the fruit-body, but are sometimes restricted to the base of basidia. In side-view they project from the septum and are roughly semicircular, in top view they cross the septum and are circular to ellipsoid.

Choose this state if: clamp connections are present on at least some hyphae of the fruit-body.
