Caulocystidia apex shape: mucronate or rostrate
images/Caulocystidia_apex_shape_mucronate_or_rostrate/Cystidia_apex-mucronate.jpg
This feature relates to the shape of the apex of caulocystidia, irrespective of the overall shape (Caulocystidia shape) and any branching (Caulocystidia branched).

Where a mix of apex shapes is present, select the differentiated state/s (capitate and/or mucronate or rostrate).

Choose this state if: the centre of the apex of the cystidium is drawn out into a short or long projection that is markedly narrower than the body of the cystidium. The terms 'mucronate' or 'rostrate' can be combined with terms describing the overall shape, such as in 'ventricose-rostrate'.

If there is more than one projection, or the projection is not apical, see Caulocystidia branched.
