Annulus undersurface: double
images/Annulus_undersurface_double/Annulus_undersurface_-_double.jpg
This feature is best observed just after the annulus has broken from the pileus edge. In older fruit-bodies features of the underside of the annulus may collapse, and the annulus itself may collapse onto the stipe.

Choose this state if: there are distinct squamules (scales) or a distinct ridge of tissue on the underside of the annulus.

This state should not be confued with the presence of two separate annuli on the stipe (as occurs rarely, such as in Amanita ochrophylla and Agaricus bitorquis).
