Identification units
Two identification units in Inocybe are keyed out separately, to cover significant variation in the shape of the spores.
- Inocybe (nodulose spores) includes species with nodulose spores, such as I. imbricata and I. scissa.
- Inocybe (rounded spores) includes those species with smooth (non-nodulose) spores, such as I. australiensis and I. violaceocaulis.
