• Crepidotus (rough spores) covers species with warty or spinose spore ornamentation, such as Crepidotus applanatus and C. variabilis.

• Crepidotus (smooth spores) covers species with a smooth spore surface, such as Crepidotus eucalyptorum and C. mollis.
