Terrestrial, hairy (rarely glabrous) herbs, arising from globular tubers. Leaf solitary, at the base or near the middle of flowering stem, ovate or lanceolate; bracts present below each flower. Flowers usually 1 or 2, with column uppermost; dorsal sepal erect or slightly incurved, concave; lateral sepals spreading, broad, much longer than dorsal sepal; petals narrow, usually outcurved, about as long as dorsal sepal. Labellum sessile, about as long as petals, erect at base, then much recurved, 3-lobed; terminal portion convex, with long glandular hairs. Column erect, narrowly winged; anther with large valves folded over small inner valves.

6 species, all endemic in Australia; all but 2 restricted to south-western Western Australia; 2 species in Victoria.
